Dracula, restored
The critic
(4.5 out of 5)★★★★½
Dracula is still the best of the big-screen Draculas, and the new 4K restoration is the way to see it: Fisher's colour, Lee's silent menace and Cushing's cool Van Helsing at full size, plus a few minutes of long-lost censored footage.
It is short, brisk and a little creaky, and the lost footage is a curiosity, not a revelation. For anyone who likes their horror in colour and atmosphere, it is an easy October pick.
