The Devils, restored
The critic
(4.5 out of 5)★★★★½
Ken Russell's banned, butchered 1971 film returns in a 4K restoration of the director's cut, and critics are close to unanimous that this is the version to see. Oliver Reed and Vanessa Redgrave are hailed at their peak, and the film still feels angry and alive.
A landmark restoration, but graphic, so know what you are walking into.
