Klara and the Sun

Taika Waititi's Klara and the Sun adapts Ishiguro's novel into a film most British critics call a mistake: one star each from The Guardian, The Times, The Telegraph and Little White Lies. Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams get the praise; the jokes, the whimsy and the thin ideas do not.
