Whalefall
The critic
(3 out of 5)★★★☆☆
A ridiculous premise played with a straight face: a diver swallowed by a sperm whale, and one lead performance that carries almost all of it.
Whalefall is a tense, grisly survival thriller at its best and a repetitive grief drama at its worst, and critics are properly split. Worth a big dark screen if you can take the flashbacks.
