Verity

Verity is a muddled Colleen Hoover adaptation that never decides whether it is a serious psychological thriller or a camp melodrama, and the critics I read split accordingly, from "flat-footed dud" to heightened, pulpy fun.

The cast and the lakeside house are the parts people praise. The twists pile up and the pace drags. Best seen with friends and modest expectations, and not if you want a tight thriller.
