A good premise and a committed Jessica Chastain, undone by rushed pacing, heavy CGI and borrowed scares. The imposter-mother idea has real hurt in it, and Arabella Olivia Clark gives it heart.
Critics mostly disagree with the multiplex-fun camp, and so does this reading: a brisk 93 minutes that never earns its jumps.
