Pan's Labyrinth, restored
The critic
(4.5 out of 5)★★★★½
Guillermo del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth returns in a new 4K restoration, and the critics' verdict has barely moved: a dark fairy tale and a brutal war story woven together, with doubts only about how well the fantasy and the politics sit side by side.
An adult film, not a children's one, and worth seeing big. Four and a half stars.
